Dr. Kamen Kozarev<\/strong>\u00a0is Professor at the IANAO and member of the Heliophysics group, where he has been since late 2016. Before that he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, having won the prestigious NASA LWS Jack Eddy Space Weather Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2012. He received his PhD from Boston University in 2013. Dr. Kozarev\u2019s expertise combines observational characterization of solar large-scale coronal shocks and numerical modeling of solar energetic particle acceleration and heliospheric transport.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Oleg Stepanyuk<\/strong> is an Assistant Professor at the IANAO and member of the Heliophysics group. He obtained his PhD in Physics from Martin-Luther Universit\u00e4t Halle-Wittenberg Germany \/ Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2010. He was a research scientist in geophysical science at the University of Helsinki between 2014 and 2016. He has been at the Institute of Astronomy and National Astronomical Observatory since 2020. His expertise lies in advanced image and signal processing, scientific computing, numerical computational methods and modeling. Oleg has developed a number of algorithmic and deep learning models and techniques for tracking of solar eruptive features in imaging observations.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Mohamed Nedal<\/strong> was a PhD student at the Institute of Astronomy and National Astronomical Observatory. He defended his dissertation and obtained a PhD from the Institute in 2024. He holds a M.Sc. degree from the Physics Dept. of Helwan University, Egypt. Mohamed has worked on different space weather modeling and forecasting projects, most recently focused on statistical solar energetic particle forecasting, based on interplanetary plasma parameters observed at 1 au. Dr. Nedal is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Dublin Institute of Advanced Studies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Artem Epifanov<\/strong> is a PhD student at the Institute of Astronomy and National Astronomical Observatory. He holds a M.Sc. degree in Nuclear Physics and Technologies from the National Research Nuclear University MEPhI, in Moscow, Russian Federation. Artem focuses his research on solar energetic particle modeling with the EPREM code between the Sun and 1 au.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Mr.<\/strong> Vergil Yotov<\/strong> is a PhD student at the Institute of Astronomy and National Astronomical Observatory. He holds a M.Sc. degree in Software Engineering from the University of Birmingham and a B.Sc. degree in Astrophysics from the University of Edinburgh. Vergil’s research focuses on processing and analyzing solar radio observations with the LOFAR radio telescope. He develops new techniques and pipelines for improved interferometric imaging and spectral analysis of type II and type III bursts.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
