This hybrid conference focuses on applications of Computer Vision and Machine / Deep Learning techniques to heliophysics research and forecasting frameworks, as well on the integration of these techniques into modeling and operational efforts for solar activity and heliospheric phenomena.

The organizers have very limited resources to support participation of undergraduate and graduate students only, on a first come, first served basis. Please email mch@nao-rozhen.org and state your case if you would like to be considered for financial support.


Conference Venue

MCH25 will be held at thе elegant Grand Hotel Millennium in Sofia, Bulgaria. The hotel is situated in downtown Sofia, close to tourist attractions, museums and galleries, restaurants and shopping. It is easily accessible by subway or taxi from Sofia Airport.

From the Airport, take the Metro 4 (yellow) line to “SU Sveti Kliment Ohridski” station, then switch to Metro 3 (green) line, direction Gorna Banya, and get off at “National Palace of Culture” station. Metro tickets cost 1.60 BGN (~0.8 EUR).

If taking a taxi, we recommend going to the official taxi stand to the side of the airport Terminal 2 and taking an authorised Yellow taxi. Taxi rates must be displayed on the rear, the ride to downtown Sofia should cost around 20 BGN (~10 EUR) or less.

INFORMATION FOR PRESENTERS

Oral Presentations

Contributed oral talks will have 20-minute duration (15 + 5 min Q&A). Invited oral talks will have 40-minute duration (35 + 5 min Q&A). Presentations will only be accepted in .ppt/.pptx or .pdf formats and landscape orientation; 16:9 aspect ratio is preferred, but we can accommodate 4:3 as well. Please submit your presentation in advance, sending it to mch@nao-rozhen.org.

Poster Presentations

Poster boards will be suitable for posters up to portrait B1 format (70.7 cm width × 100 cm height).
